W. Himalaya: Kashmir to Kumaon, and W. Nepal.
 
The species is considered to be not rare (Evans 1932) but its images are exceedingly rare. Perhaps the range and precise habitat of this species have not been thoroughly surveyed in recent decades, which may explain scarcity of modern records.
