Other Name Combinations: Brachiaria setigera (WFO, 2023).

 

Natural History: Native Perennial Grass.

A trailing grass growing from a perennial knotty base. It can grow up to 50 cm in height. Scattered hairs are present on all parts of plant.

 

Note: This plant has been recorded as a new larval host plant for Borbo cinnara – Rice SwiftPelopidas agna – Obscure Branded SwiftPelopidas mathias – Small Branded Swift and Orsotriaena medus – Medus Brown by Abhishek Rane from Sindhudurg, Maharashtra in July 2023.
