Notes: This plant has been recorded as a new larval host for Spindasis lohita – Long-banded Silverline by Blaise Pereira and Paresh Churi from Thane, Maharashtra in 2012.

 

Identification Keys: According to eFlora of India (2023),

  1. S. ovalifolia: leaves round, 5-7 nerved.
  2. S. zeylanica: leaves elliptic, 3-5 nerved.
