Other Name Combinations: Livistona rotundifolia (WFO, 2022).

 

Natural History: Introduced Palm Tree.
An introduced palm, native to Southeast Asia. It has palmately lobed leaves spirally arranged around the solitary trunk (Flowers of India, 2023).

 

Other Common Name: Roundleaf Fountain Palm (Flowers of India, 2023).

 

Note: This plant was previously reported as a larval host plant for Suastus gremius – Oriental Palm Bob from Sri Lanka (Jayasinghe et al., 2014), Paresh Churi confirmed its use in India from Mumbai, Maharashtra in October 2015.
