Taxonomic Information

This species was until recently treated as a subspecies of Pseudocoladenia dan – Fulvous Pied Flat, as Pseudocoladenia dan fabia (Evans, 1949) – Himalayan Fulvous Pied Flat. A recent molecular phylogenetic and morphological study raised the taxon to the species level based on differences in the male genitalia and phylogenetic distinctiveness (Hou et al. 2023).

Conservation and Special status

This species is not legally protected in India under any schedules of WildLife (Protection) Act, 1972.
