Pavetta indica – Indian Pavetta

Other notes

Notes: A female of Athyma perius – Common Sergeant was recorded laying egg on this plant by Smritirekha Bortamuly from Golaghat, Assam in Feb 2021, but the complete life cycle is yet to be recorded to confirm this as a new larval host plant for the butterly.
This plant has been reported as a larval host for Athyma selenophora – Staff Sergeant from Taiwan (HOSTS, 2023). It might be used in India, too, but this needs confirmation.
