The historically well-known range of Lethe ramadeva in India is Sikkim. This appears to be the first record of the species from Arunachal Pradesh, and the species likely occurs all along the mid-elevations in the Eastern Himalaya.


  This species is legally protected in India under Schedule I of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.


This is a very rare species that is known only from a few localities. Modern records are scarce. It occurs in mixed subtropical evergreen forests at mid-elevations.
