(1) Hasora vitta indica Evans, 1932 – Indian Plain Banded Awl
(2) Hasora vitta manda Evans, 1949 – Andaman Plain Banded Awl

 

Conservation and Special status

This species was legally protected in India under Schedule IV of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972. However, it is not listed under any Schedules of the Wildlife (Protection) Amendment Act, 2022.

This species has been recorded so far from Andaman & Nicobar Islands UT, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Sikkim, and Tamil Nadu, within the Indian limits. 

 

This species is common.
