This species has been recorded so far from Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, and Nagaland, within the Indian limits.

 

  This species is legally protected in India under Schedule I of the WildLife (Protection) Amendment Act, 2022. It is very rare, known only from Manipur and Naga Hills in India before, and now from E. Arunachal Pradesh. It appears to be rare throughout its range, from NE India to Indo-China.

Information such as the precise locality is being withheld to protect this population from illegal collecting until forest officials and other authorities put safety measures in place.
