Subspecies in India
Taxonomic Information
This species has sometimes been placed under the genus Burara. In older literature it has also been known as the Orangetail Awl and Orange-tailed Awl. Since Bibasis are closer to Burara rather than to Hasora, we use the name Awlet instead of Awl.
