(1) Acytolepis lilacea lilacea (Hampson, 1889) – Sahyadri Lilac Hedge Blue. This is also known as the Hampson's Hedge Blue.

Conservation and Special status

  This species is legally protected in India under Schedule II of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.

Photo Gallery and Species Biology

The species has been recorded so far in Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu within the Indian limits. The Indian subspecies is endemic to the Western Ghats, other subspecies occur in Sri Lanka and Indo-China.

 

This species is uncommon.
