Taxonomic Information
This species is often treated as a subspecies of Hebomoia glaucippe – Great Orange-tip, as Hebomoia glaucippe roepstorfii – Andaman Great Orange-tip. Recent phylogenetic reconstruction shows it to be distinct from glaucippe such that treating glaucippe and roepstorfii as a single species would create a polyphyletic clade.
