Subspecies in India
Taxonomic Information
This species was formerly treated as a subspecies of Halpe homolea (Hewitson, 1868) (Evans 1949), previously known in India as the Indian Ace (Evans 1932). Halpe homolea is a Singaporean and SE Asian species that continues to be reported from India in error.
Conservation and Special status
This species is not legally protected in India under any schedules of WildLife (Protection) Act, 1972.
