Natural History: A shrub found in the Western Ghats of India. Sometimes cultivated for its unique greenish-blue flowers and shrimp-like green spikes. It is also known as Green Ice Crossandra, Neel Sahacharah in Sanskrit and Ekboli in Marathi (Flowers of India, 2022).
