Natural History: Endemic Perennial Climber.
A twinning climber growing from a perennial tuber, endemic to the Western Ghats of Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Kerala. It produces curved lantern-shaped whitish-purple flowers with a striking peacock green coloured tip from July to October.
Note: A caterpillar of Parantica aglea – Glassy Tiger was observed on this plant by Suryakant Golam from Sindhudurg, Maharashtra in July 2025. Further observations are required to confirm this as a new larval host plant for this species.
