Subspecies in India

(1) Huegelia hugelii hugelii (Gistel, 1857) – Kashmir Dusky Blue Cupid (=Everes argiades indica Evans, 1932)
(2) Huegelia hugelii dipora (Moore, 1865) – Himalayan Dusky Blue Cupid

 

In the past, the species name has sometimes been spelled Everes huegeli.

Taxonomic Information

This species was previously treated as Everes hugelii. It is now placed in a new genus based on a recent phylogenetic study (Nazari et al. 2025).
