Subspecies in India
(1) Polytremis discreta discreta (Elwes & Edwards, 1897) – Himalayan White-fringed Swift. This is also known as the Himalayan Swift.
This species is legally protected in India under Schedule IV of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
