I saw this on his FB profile. Took his permission to upload here as it seems to be an important record for Namdapha.
I know handling should be discouraged. Unfortunately there is no other shot. Even the image is difficult to crop, to remove the hand!
No unnecessary handling of butterflies, please. We are trying to discourage this on our website. You can of course submit images of butterflies in hand if that was absolutely necessary; e.g., to show ID features that are normally not seen. However, if an image of the butterfly without a hand in the frame is available, we will prefer that. For common species, this may easily be avoided. If a butterfly is sitting on sandles or toes, that is OK.
Ask him if an image in natural habitat is available n upload that.. Thanks
