No unnecessary handling of butterflies,
please. We are trying to discourage this on our website. You can of course submit images of
butterflies in hand if that was absolutely necessary; e.g., to show ID features that are normally
not seen. However, if an image of the butterfly without a hand in the
frame is available, we will prefer that. For common species, this may easily be avoided. We will
keep older images where a hand may be seen, but going forward, please keep this in mind
while submitting images.
