Observing this congregation since 2016 in every winter. Same place. Starts with Jamun tree and later they settle on Karanj Tree. Each leaf has about 3 butterflies siting to on the top of the leaf and one or two in the bottom. This year congregation started in December 19. Were seen nectaring on Reetha flowers (about 300 nos). Total count now would be around 700 to 1000 nos. Prefer to sit at lower elevations. Occasionally observed on dried climbers of Gulvel but never ever saw them on bark of trees. Often get disturbed due to human interference and shift the congregation location within vicinity of about 50 meters. Could see very few Blue tigers & Common Crow. Both male and female species of Striped tiger varying in size. This year also mostly they were on Karanj tree and recently shifted on Kusum tree. They get dispersed as soon as the sun rises at around 8 am but they don't seem to fly far away. Settle again in nearby trees. They start congregating at around 5.30pm in the evening. Both morning and evening shows are mesmerising!!
