dappled shade near clump of mature castor oil plants not far from pond

c.1245, sunny day, slight breeze. Apparent courtship. Female first lay with wings flat, then raised,.then approached by male. Courtship inc. male approaching female head on and gently seeming to stroke her forewing with his, then coming a little closer and stroking her again. This he did several times before flying off and approaching her from behind. Apologize for number of pix.
