Pongamia pinnata is the favorite host plant for this common species of Indian Sunbeam. Females were spotted oftenc specially near the host plants. Two horn-like structure on it is the special and noticeable feature. Male is bright orange and female with most of the part dull dark brown colored with small white marking on upper-wing. Indian Sunbeam byutterflies are known as "Butterflies of Peninsular India", Males are much more frequently seen. Females were spotted often, specially near the host plants.
