Taractrocera maevius (Fabricius, 1793) - Grey-veined Grass Dart

Subspecies in India

No subspecies are listed under this species. The subspecies name, Taractrocera maevius sagara (Moore, [1866]), represents infrasubspecific variation. This is also known as the Common Grass Dart or Oriental Grass Dart.

This species has been recorded so far from Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Puducherry UT, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal, within the Indian limits. 

 

This is a common species.
