Pupation of the Caterpillar on 27 SEP 2020. Emerging of the Butterfly After 61 days [On 26 NOV 2020]. Unexpected Gift by the Nature.
Its really Miracle of the Nature that how it was live for 61 days without any food?.
Is it reported in the past for Common jay or any other Butterfly Species [Emerging of the Butterfly after 2 months of the Pupation]?
After 20 days of the Pupation i was stopped Photography of the pupa as there is no little change in the pupa and considered it as dead.
Later after4-5 days when the leaf get dried i have plucked the leaf along with the pupa and placed the pupa in small stick pot in the cupboard and later completely forgot about it.
On 26th NOV 2020 [After 61 Days] morning my daughter Pallavi Shouted Pappa Pappa Come...Come.. there is Butterfly in the Cupboard.
I have asked her are you doing Ullu to me ?
Have you caught any butterfly from our terrace and placed that in the cupboard ?
She said...No Pappa...there is really a Butterfly.
I have checked in dark inside the lower part of the cupboard....and it was wonderful Shock to me. It was The Common Jay. .
To Confirm I have immediately checked Small Stick Pot in the cupboard where i was placed pupa along with the leaf and i found there was ONLY Empty Pupa Shell.
It was my sixth try to study the life cycle/emerging of the CJ butterfly. Three attempts was failed at larval Stage and Two at Pupal Stage & this one was the sixth attempt and i was also considered it as FAIL.
But The Nature has given me this Beautiful chance to see this WONDER after 61 Days.
So..'Bhagwan Ke Ghar Der Hai, Par Andher Nahi"
