Photo Gallery and Species Biology

Not known in India.

The species ranges from the Assam Valley in NE India to S. China and Indo-China. Previously only one female had ever been reported in literature from the Manipur Hills in India (Evans 1949). T. Norman had subsequently collected two males and two females from Sibsagar in the Assam Valley, which are now deposited in the Natural History Museum, London (K. Kunte, pers. obs.). The sightings reported here (ab601 to ab603) from the Gibbon WLS in the Assam Valley appear to be the first records of this species from India since the 1960s.
