(2) Neptis nata yerburii Butler, 1886 – West Himalayan Clear Sailer
(3) Neptis nata adipala Moore, 1872 – Khasi Clear Sailer
(4) Neptis nata evansi Eliot 1969 – Andaman Clear Sailer.
This species has also been mentioned as Burmese Sailer in the past.

  The subspecies hampsoni is legally protected in India under Schedule II of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
