Barleria cristata – Philippine Violet

Other notes

Natural History: A native sub-shrub widely grown as ornamental hedge plant. The flowers are purple although white and other coloured varieties are also available. Flowering season is from November to January. The garland of these flowers are worn by women in their hairs (Flowers of India, 2022).
