Jamides alecto (C. Felder, 1860) – Metallic Cerulean
Subspecies in India:
(1) Jamides alecto eurysaces Fruhstorfer, 1915 – Himalayan Metallic Cerulean
(2) Jamides alecto fusca Evans, 1932 – Andaman Metallic Cerulean
(3) Jamides alecto kondulana Felder, 1862 – Nicobar Metallic Cerulean kondulana, which is often treated as a subspecies of alecto, is legally protected in India under Schedule II of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
