Kallima horsfieldii (Kollar, [1844]) – Sahyadri Blue Oakleaf

No subspecies are listed under this species. It is also known as the South Indian Blue Oakleaf.

  This species is legally protected in India under Schedule II of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.

Pseuderanthemum malabaricum (Wynter-Blyth 1957; Robinson et al. 2010), Lepidagathis cuspidata (Wynter-Blyth 1957), Strobilanthes callosus (Bell 1910; Wynter-Blyth 1957; Robinson et al. 2010), Strobilanthes ciliata (P. Churi pers. obs. 2017) (Acanthaceae).

Identification:
This species has been referred to as "Southern Blue Oakleaf" in some recent books. This is a slight misnomer since the species is endemic to the Western Ghats, it does not occur elsewhere in southern India.
