Calinaga brahma Butler, 1885 – Orange-backed Freak
Subspecies in India:
No subspecies are listed under this species. It is sometimes treated as a subspecies of Calinaga buddha – Orange-breasted Freak, especially in older literature. A revision of Calinaga is underway, more information will be made available here in due course.
This species is legally protected in India under Schedule II of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
