Borassus flabellifer, Calamus spp., Calamus pseudotenuis, Calamus rotang, Calamus thwaitesii, Calamus viminalis, Caryota urens, Chamaerops humilis, Cocos nucifera, Corypha umbraculifera, Corypha utan, Dypsis lutescens, Licuala chinensis, Licuala grandis, Phoenix acaulis, Phoenix loureiroi, Phoenix sylvestris, Roystonea regia (Arecaceae).
Cyperus alternifolius (Cyperaceae) has also been reported from Bengaluru by L. Shyamal in 2010, which constitutes a new plant family record for this species (BOI-ag954 to BOI-ag958). It remains to be seen whether Cyperus is used more widely by this species, and a second confirmation of this larval host family will be useful.
Apart from these plants, Saccharum officinarum (Poaceae) is recorded but this is doubtful and needs confirmation.
Zingiber officinale (Zingiberaceae) has also been recorded once, but the larva feeding on it did not pupate so we do not know whether this is a suitable larval host plant.
